I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex twice unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
